Our Approach

Traditional brewing. Constantly evolving.

At Dunham Massey, our roots are firmly planted in the North-West. From the very beginning, we set out to brew beers that celebrate the region's rich brewing heritage, using carefully selected ingredients, time-honoured methods and an uncompromising attention to detail. Those North-Western inspired beers remain at the heart of what we do today.

But great brewing is also about curiosity and discovery. Alongside our award-winning traditional cask ales and regional favourites, we now explore a wider range of styles, ingredients and brewing influences from further afield. Whether it's a classic English bitter, a hop-forward pale ale, or something a little different, everything we brew is built around flavour, balance and drinkability.

By combining a respect for brewing tradition with a passion for innovation, we continue to create quality, multi-award-winning beers that honour where we started whilst embracing where great beer can take us next.

Chocolate Cherry

Multi-award-winning speciality beer. Champion Speciality Beer of Britain 2012. All the class of Dunham Dark with a dry hint of cherry that cuts through the malt flavours.

Origin

An elegantly balanced pale ale brewed with top-tier English grown malts and hops. Light and refreshing, with low levels of bitterness, layered with expressive aromas of fresh grapefruit and ripe stone fruit. Complemented by a delicate woody nuance that lingers on for a smooth, satisfying finish.

Kiwi Drift

An easy-drinking pale ale brewed with premium English malts and a generous mix of flavoursome New Zealand hops. Mild bitterness, but lots of hop flavour and aroma, notes of white vine fruits and gooseberries.

Quatre

A light pale ale blending the best English malts with full flavoured French hops. Mild bitterness, but lots of hop flavour and aroma, with red berry and citrus flavours shining through.

An American-style pale ale that unites premium English malts with a generous blend of punchy American hops. Mild bitterness, but lots of hop flavour and aroma, prevailing tropical and citrus notes.

Founded by brewer John Costello, Dunham Massey Brewing Company began with a simple ambition: to brew traditional North-Western ales using quality ingredients and time-honoured methods. Today we brew more than 30 beers across three distinctive ranges, supplying pubs, clubs and hospitality venues throughout Cheshire and beyond.

We supply pubs, bars, clubs and hospitality businesses with our range of traditional cask ales and modern, craft-inspired beers. We’re also open to the public, with cask and Bag-in-Box beers available to order for collection from the brewery, alongside a selection of our bottled beers available to buy from our brewery shop.

Above the brewery is our bottle shop where you can come and buy bottles of our ale. We stock 9 different varieties in bottle, and these should be in stock all year round.
